Facilities - You Need For Your Home Based Business

Before we get into this particular resource, it's best to recognize that there are some people and some business models which, for one reason or another, aren't suited to using the Internet Payment Facilitators which are available. For those, the only other option is to open a 'Merchant Account' which will enable them to accept credit card transactions in their own right (without having to use the services of an Internet Payment Facility).

For those who require this option, who don't wish to go through the huge hassle of applying (and paying!!) through a bank, or those who simply wouldn't qualify anyway (most banks have minimum trading periods, minimum turnover and guaranteed monthly transactions etc), the only question is how quickly to click on the banner below. This is simply the best company and the best program available to Internet merchants who need the flexibility of accepting credit cards in their own right.

Internet Payment Facilities

Internet payment facilities have become a very necessary and popular means to conduct business over the Internet in  the last couple of years. Prior to these great little (or not so little) facilities, the only way to collect money 'instantly' was by Credit Card, for which you needed a Merchant Account with a Bank or other Financial institution. This of course, involved a good deal of expense and the usual 'jumping through hoops' that one needs to do to get anything from a bank. But no more!

There has been some 'legal' wrangling going on as of late (Feb 2006) and Stormpay (the largest processor after Paypal) no longer operate as a a Payment Processor. This is disappointing, because they were, in my opinion, the best. There was another 'reasonable' alternative named 'Can-Pay', but they have dissappeared.

Internet Payment Facilities are secure, for both merchant and buyer and they offer all the usual methods of 'non cash' currency transfer like: Credit card, bank transfer, check etc. They are free for all to join but the really attractive feature for buyers is that the Merchant never gets to see the Credit Card number. All they get is an email address and name of the buyer. This is especially important to people who have had their Credit Card number used fraudulently by a merchant or by someone using an 'impression' or 'receipt' as they contain the complete account number. Not so with these facilities. They can be used simply to send money to anyone else who has an email address, whether they have an account or not. As a merchant, you will need an account to operate, though.

They have some quite stringent rules governing the type of transaction that they can be used for and they can suspend your account if you break these rules, but by and large, if you're honest and selling a legal product, which doesn't conflict with their 'Conditions' you will have no problem. And you can sell or buy virtually anything which is legal with very few exceptions.

At this point I will bring up a specific subject, which has become an issue over the last couple of years. The issue is 'Randomisers' (or Randomizer in the US). So there is no confusion, by Randomiser, I mean those programs whereby you pay $X and others are asked to pay $X under you and you are given a share while a share is taken by the 'owner' of the Randomiser. That may not have been too clear, but suffice to say, they are the 'Pyramid schemes' of the Internet.

Some Internet Payment Facilities have these listed in their 'illegal' activities. So read the 'Condition of Use' carefully or you may have your money tied up for six months (that's how long they can keep it if your account is closed or access limited because of such activities). Other than this sort of thing they are a GREAT idea and are invaluable to Home Based Business people for collecting funds for sales or for purchasing anything they need online connected with their Home Based Business activities.

I can only, in all conscience, recommend one Internet Payment Facility. They are in my opinion the VERY best and also the cheapest, as far as fees are concerned (buyers pay no fees at all). There is another Facility, which may be better known (ethically I won't mention the name), but they have come under fire recently for allegedly suspending accounts without sufficient explanation and some say, allegedly, for inappropriate reasons.

I use AlertPay because they are simply the very best in every respect (and I have used others). There are more popping up all the time, some of which may be as good, but to me it remains to be seen.
